I would like to extend my extreme gratitude for both the awarded scholarship and the opportunity to participate in one of your rehearsals.  While struggling to keep up with the choir, I realized the great amount of respect I held for the choir and its individual members.  Each member appeared to be living out a passion, surprising due to the unprofessional (here meaning unpaid) nature of the choir.  It was incredibly encouraging to see that even though I may not be able to professionally pursue music, there will always be a way for me to continue my expression.  I deeply respect your status as a high caliber community choir and hope one day join the ranks of your prestigious ensemble.  Again, I thank you for your passion and inspiration.  Good luck at your concert!
